The American War Memorial in Gibraltar is a memorial dedicated to the American servicemen who lost their lives during World War II while serving in or near Gibraltar. The memorial is located at the entrance to the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens and features a bronze eagle perched on top of a white marble column. The column is inscribed with the names of 56 American servicemen who died in Gibraltar, as well as the names of six who died at sea. The memorial was erected in 1961 and is maintained by the American Battle Monuments Commission. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by American servicemen during the war and as a symbol of the strong historical ties between the United States and Gibraltar.
